The Japanese company is strengthening its environmental commitments along with emissions monitoring solutions and compensation companies

YOKOHAMA, Japan — The Nissan Formula E Team is delighted to announce the continuation of its partnership with Coral, which runs from October 2023, for the next two seasons of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The UAE-based climate technology company enables businesses to manage their carbon emissions and ESG requirements through a native AI platform.

Since joining forces, Coral has deployed a customized version of its innovative Emissions Management System (EMS) specifically configured for the Nissan Formula E Team’s operational footprint. In addition, the company has provided traffic mapping and data structuring, automated data acquisition and normalization, as well as advanced emissions calculation and methodology to further strengthen the team’s support.

This allowed the team to move from fragmented data collection to a structured and transparent emissions management framework. This capability not only ensures compliance with FIA and Greenhouse Gas Protocol requirements, but also allows the Nissan Formula E team to confidently pursue measurable emission reduction targets.

The extension of this partnership demonstrates the Japanese team’s commitment to continuing to reduce carbon emissions as the team strives to become a leader in environmental responsibility in global motorsport.

Tommaso Volpe, Managing Director and Head of the Nissan Formula E Team: “Nissan Formula E Team is delighted to extend its partnership with Coral. It’s a natural decision considering the great value Coral creates for us. We are very pleased with the detail and reliability of the reports we receive, as well as the quality of the carbon offset Coral provides. I look forward to advancing our sustainability goals even further with Coral’s continued support.”

Daniele Sileri, CEO, Coral: “The renewal of our contract with the Nissan Formula E team is a testament to the shared vision and trust we have built over the past seasons. Their commitment to strict emissions monitoring, emissions reductions and responsible compensation aligns perfectly with Coral’s mission. We are excited to support a team that continues to set new standards of environmental responsibility in global motorsport.”
